Stary Dworzec A is the oldest, central part of the historic Stary Dworzec railway complex in Katowice, located at 2 Dworcowa Street in the very center of the city. The building was constructed in 1859 as the main railway station hall and for many years played a key role in passenger service and station administration. Its architecture combines elements of neoclassicism, modernism, and Art Nouveau – the brick structure is clad in sandstone blocks with a granite plinth, and the façade is adorned with historical details and reliefs. Interiors offer flexible spaces that can be arranged as open plan or divided into smaller modules. In the past, the building housed a restaurant, ticket offices, station management offices, and various public institutions. After World War II, with the construction of the new station, the building lost its original function, and in recent years it has undergone comprehensive revitalization, preserving its historical character while adapting to modern office and service standards. Stary Dworzec A offers a prestigious address, a unique atmosphere, and access to the rich infrastructure of Katowice city center.
