Nova Silesia is a modern office and hotel complex under development in the very center of Katowice, at ks. Piotra Skargi 2, on the site of the former Silesia Hotel. The project includes two 14-storey class A office buildings and a seven-storey Moxy hotel with 150 rooms and an extensive open meeting area with a 24-hour bar. The complex is designed with sustainability in mind – it will be certified to LEED Gold and WELL standards, feature green roofs, high insulation, systems to reduce energy and water consumption, electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle racks, and lockers with showers for cyclists. The office buildings will have open ground floors with representative lobbies and meeting zones, and a public pedestrian passage and green relaxation plaza will be created between the buildings. All parking spaces (except a few at the hotel) will be located in an underground garage, accessible to Katowice residents on non-working days. The project was designed by APA Wojciechowski Architekci, and the investor is Vastint Poland.
